Groovy Lifestyle

Choosing Your Gifts – Wisely

(I so adore and respect this younger version of myself! What all she/me/we/I have survived and the ways we’ve grown are incredible.)

I believe that when you “put it out there”, your groovy desire, and the Big Groovy Universe tosses you an option to your desire – grab it with both hands and all your will – even if it’s not “exact”.

And that’s why when I decided to “Go Rogue” and do some traveling awhile back and the Big Universe/Goddess/God/Spirit/(whatever) sent a friend in need of my skills and assistance that involves me traveling with her – I jumped on it.

Well after I was done with my health procedures. But that was just some details…

What are you putting, “out there” energetically?

Is it what you truly want?

Are you putting Groovy desires out for the Big Universe to grant or do you send the frequencies of Fear and Stress? Because there’s a real big difference in what results you get to choose from.

Trust me – I know the horrors of signaling for what you don’t want…

What if you could be deliberate and discerning about the energetic vibe you project? Hang around here and you’ll learn to signal what you desire.

I put my desire to Go Rogue in my journal.

I researched on YouTube and Pinterest ways and means and what others’ were doing to go rogue. I put my desire on 3×5 cards and then I did something pretty big and bold – I planned on it.

I committed myself to a departure date and broke down the steps I needed to do to make it happen. Then I put my tasks with dates up on the wall where I could see them daily. And take action. Gotta take action!

About a week after I committed to a date in my journal and I’d begun downsizing (action!), my friend called.

It was the Big Universe telling me, “YES!”

I adjusted my date with my friends’ request and bam – I hit the road- sooner rather than later.

Life is Groovy that way.

Do you journal? Do you honor your commitments to yourself? Do you make your own needs a priority?

I’ve kept journals off and on, I’ve usually put myself at the bottom of the list to care for and in too many incidents I have stood myself up to meet the needs of others – even when I know better. Doing better didn’t come natural for me and I’ve had resistance and blocks to true self-care. And I worked on being better to me.

And now – I’m Rogue!

Let’s review the steps:

ASK for what you want. I want to go rogue.

Feel what having your desire would be. Immerse yourself and study and research and FEEL it in your being.

I would imagine myself traveling. I folded the seats down in Sparky and stretched out to feel what it would be like to sleep in her. As I fell asleep at night I would think about the steps I’d done that day toward my desire and I’d also imagine myself setting up camp instead of just going to sleep in my bed. I imagined the sounds and smells of boondocking and traveling.

COMMIT to yourself and the Universe. I put a date on going Rogue so it becomes a GOAL.

ACT on your desire. Take ACTION. Do something toward your goal. I broke down the steps I’d need to take into tasks and I began doing them.

Be THANKFUL for each step closer you get – Be thankful for the thought and desire, the feelings of the desire, those who help you in any way. I keep a gratitude journal. I also say a little “thanks” in the moment I complete a task or get help towards my goal in any way.

Finally this last step is truly important – When the Big Universe gives you a gift – RECEIVE it!

In my case, I adjusted my timeframe and commitments, packed Sparky and hit the road.

And the rewards just keep coming!

Be THANKFUL! I keep writing my thanks in my gratitude journal – For me it’s like stoking the fire to keep the mojo going. I highly encourage anyone to try one out.

More gratitude makes more things to be grateful for.

Thank you for reading this older post – I hesitated including these and I flipped and flopped and overthought and then decided it would be worth including these as they may be useful to someone else on their own journey.

They not so elegantly document the messiness – and therein lies the beauty and purpose.
